No. 1 tops WSU, 36-13

Division II top ranked Grand Valley State beat the host Wayne State Warriors, 36-13, Saturday at Adams Field. Wayne State redshirt freshman running back Joique Bell had 33 carries for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He has 990 yards rushing on the season. He also led the team in receiving, with three catches for 34 yards. Warrior coach Paul Winters said dealing with an early 19-point hole was tough, but he's confident the team will be able to move on against Gannon (Pa.) on Saturday. "Now it's a disappointment, whereas in the past, (the players) didn't think they could win anyway," Winters said. "But now, it's a disappointment because we expect to win."
